The LUPAA Journal is an electronic open-access scientific journal, originating from the Research Group registered with CNPq (LUPAA – Research Laboratory in Urbanism, Heritage, Architecture, and Arts), institutionally linked to the Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS) and published by IFS Publishing. It has an academic nature, an interdisciplinary character, and a commitment to scientific excellence.

The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system, ensuring anonymity between authors and reviewers, impartiality in editorial decisions, and technical-methodological rigor.

Operates thru the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring transparency of the editorial flow, traceability of decisions, interoperability of metadata, and compliance with international standards of scientific publishing.

All published works receive an individual DOI (Digital Object Identifier), ensuring persistent identification, citation tracking, and integration into indexing databases.

FOCUS, SCOPE, AND CRITERIA OF ORIGINALITY

The LUPAA Journal publishes works that present original contributions to the scientific field, aligned with the thematic scope defined on the journal's portal.

Manuscripts that are prioritized are:

Present methodological clarity;
Demonstrate theoretical consistency;
Present relevant results;
Highlight dialog with updated literature.

Merely descriptive papers without critical analysis or adequate justification are not accepted.


PERIODICITY, CONTINUOUS FLOW, AND EDITING CLOSURE

The journal is published annual, with continuous publication within each issue.

The editorial closure occurs thru the consolidation of a minimum number of approved and finalized works.

Manuscripts approved after the closing of an issue automatically move to the subsequent volume.

 

INDEXING AND QUALIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL

The LUPAA Journal guides its editorial policy by the principles of quality, transparency, and scientific integrity, adopting internationally recognized practices for the consolidation of academic journals.
